Thank God for the Steam version. This is a fantastic bit of Lovecraftian horror sadly muddled with unnecessary erotic scenes...in the original version. While some may argue the H-scenes add to the horror, I'm not one of those people. Objectively, I think this VN can be a worthwhile investment. Personally I don't recommend the game. Not because it's bad, and let me say some of the pros first: It's got great voice acting, good music, and just overall really good sound design I'd say. The art style is interesting as well. Also please note that at the time of this review I have not completed the main ending yet, I got the Bad Ending first. I will update this review if the True Ending is good enough to change...

You have to be completely and utterly delusional if you are one of the people that proclaim that Saya no Uta is a visual novel masterpiece. Because it isn't. Very well put together visual novel, I would recommend highly. While this is not for everyone, I do believe every element is important and adds to the story. The plot is solid, the dialogue is well written, and the art is good. I wish it would show a bit more of the action, but I understand the limits it has, being a VN. The gore is mostly in the background, not as much in the foreground, so it is not as disturbing...

Okay so... This game is so messed up it's practically a cognitohazard. The story is great, the writing is amazing, there are a few scenes that were totally unnecessary though, and by that I mean they're only here to make you feel worse and more disgusted, but yeah it's just not readable if you don't have extreme mental resilience when faced with horror themes. You might see I have only about half an hour on record...

amazing story that had me onda edge of my seat, with visuals that kept me uncomfortable the whole way thru, and a soundtrack that matches perfectly and sounds great 10/10

i read all the endings in this game and its my first heavy vn i really like the The White Room Ending cause i can make up more stories about it in my mind and i really like the philosophy in The "Song of Saya's" ending , and the sound track in this game is something else like its so got there is a soundtrack named "sabbath" sometimes i listen to it one repeat for 7 hours and more cause its so calm and pretty i think...

Interesting short read. It's a psychological horror with eldritch horror elements. Anyways there are couple NSFW scenes and some gortesque scenes, but overall interesting read. 4 different paths (but it's linear). There's not really an happy ending. I see why some of the characters are the way they are. I would recommend if you want a interesting short read. I don't recommend if you are bad with horror or gross...
