I loved this game and played it for hours then all of a sudden the devs made a very complicated crafting system. The old crafting system was better than the one implemented now. I could craft everything in game. Now i starve to death or hypothermia before i have even crafted an axe. If they could go back to a previous version with the old craft system i would recommend this game.

The game is very beautiful. I had to restart the game 6 times because trying to make a fire was so frustrating. I could find wood and make a fire pit but it wanted me to "have the right tools." The tutorial was telling me to make a stone blade, but after making it, I still couldn't make a fire. Then I finally figured out that I needed a drill board and a thin stick. The stone boulder would not let me make any stone...

I have been putting off this review in hopes that somehow, someway the developers would change their mind about the new crafting system. Sadly they have choose to proceed with it and this game is no longer fun as a survival\building game. This game started out fun and I logged plenty of hours building, surviving and exploring. This game is pioneering the next step in the evolution of the survival genre. Unique crafting and building system with emphasis on realism. No crafting-while-running, unlike many other survival games. The best, most natural looking procedural terrain i have ever seen in a game. Early in development, so not a whole lot of content yet. But what is there is polished and stable.

Great new survival game that is actually a survival game for a change. Devs have done a lot of homework to make game mechanics match RL as much as possible. It's a very good game, but if you're paying for it, it would be nice if they didn't give you a half-finished game for it. It doesn't include cooking, alchemy, exploration, etc. Most crafts are missing. It would be nice if the developers would get involved and finish the game.
