Escape First

Recommending this game is interesting. If you play on VR, I would hesitate to say yes. The controls are difficult and even simple things like picking up objects, opening cabinets, or typing in numbers is SO difficult. Puzzles are not that hard. It's fun to play overall. I would get it on sale.

5/10. (I love escape rooms but...) -1: the 4-keypad code gets WAY TOO repetitive. -1: digits in the code never don't repeat. -1: most 4 digit codes can be brute forced. I know it's not the idea, but its a game design defect. -1: buggy AF. Items get dropped behind other room elements and virtually disappear. If you misplace an item you need to move forward in the game, you are screwed. -1: clues do not track your game...

The game is worth its price, but there are some issues. A couple of the puzzles have logic that I feel were just too hard to reach. There was honestly not enough information to cause me to want to use numbers in the way that it required me to. Also, some of the puzzles seem like look at this thing, copy that number and use it somewhere else, which made it feel a little too linerar. I will say that the game is fun...

These aren't the greatest of escape rooms, not by a long chalk. Most of the puzzles are simply matching colours, symbols or some basic maths stuff. They're certainly not the best written escape rooms... having to restart cause items fall through the floor, or something didn't trigger, or you put something in the wrong place and it got stuck there, or it just plain crashed. And they're definitely not the most...

This game looks unfinished. Your teammates are, literally, flying torsos. The lobby's missing a glass window or wall. Manipulating objects doesn't feel good. The riddles are simple and way to math oriented. The 3 scenarios are really short (less than 30 min each). And the end game doesn't feel like being released at all. I just hope the next ones are better, but I can't recommend this one. EDIT: I forgot, a bug...

Really annoying to play this game. Dropped objects out of sight cannot be retrieved so you must start over. For example, in the clock room I obtained a red cross and accidentally dropped it behind a cabinet. Gone! Start over. Drooped it again on the table with the clock numbers and hand drawn in pencil. Gone! I can see it but because the drawing is highlighted Cannot obtain cross. There should be a separate feature...
