As a newcomer to the Atelier franchise, I jumped into it with zero expectations, only knowing its slice-of-life-esque reputation. To my surprise i got super hooked on the crafting system and the whole calendar gameplay loop. If you enjoy cute girls doing cute stuff and le crafting autism you will enjoy this game. As someone who play the 4 series ahead of this game, ill say it aged a bit poorly, the first 1/3-2/3 of the game is pretty slow even tho it pretty short, game don't feel like it pick up in pace of things to do that are interesting still the last 1/3 (year 3) of the game, ill say year 2 but year 2 kinda get speed run by making alot of perma upgrade to the shop that are really helpful. Atelier Rorona is the charming first modern Atelier game. The synthesis is simple but engaging, and battles are basic and fast-paced. I like the character of Rorona and some of her friends, and the setting of Arland is nice. This game plays more like Marie than other Atelier games that I have played.
