I feel kinda mixed in some things but overall as a game it is quite good, though in some parts it feels it has regressed from Axiom Verge 1 ( i know comparison is the thief of joy but it is impossible to not have it in mind when the reason i decided to give the game a second chance was because i replayed the first) First i will start with what i loved and that is the gameplay it is certainly a separate thing from...

If not for those last few items behind foreground walls, then this game would be a 10/10. I know I usually write something funny in my reviews but this game is just really cool. It is so unique within the genre of metroidvania, even having some immersive sim elements. I can't stress enough how excited I am for the next game.

I would rate this game 7,5. Exploring and abilities/upgrades are pretty nice. But I could not get into the story because i could not really connect with the characters. And sometimes you feel really lost in the world and it's unclear what to do next. If you start exploring on yourself it feels unrewarding because you often hit spots where you just can't continue yet. So after a while it starts to get a bit boring....

One of those sequels where, after playing for 1 hour, you start asking: "What happened?" and have to check if the devs (dev, in this case) changed between games. Then, you play more and have to double-check... was it really the same people? I wasnt going to give an indie game a negative review, but the more I played it, the less I liked it. If it were something like "Axiom Verge: " or " from the Axiom Verse...

I loved Axiom Verge. The sequel is different from the first game for sure, especially combat wise. More melee focused and probably the weakest part of the game. However, exploration and the abilities you use to explore are fantastic. The pixel art is beautiful. The OST is insanely good. The sound effects deserve a mention too because they are excellent.

I prefer the first Axiom Verge. That being said, this one's really, reaally cool and is arguably better than the first game. Both games are the Metroidvanias I've enjoyed the most since the original Super Metroid back in the mid 90s.

I have to say, this game is a huge downgrade from the first. The first Axiom Verge might be one of my top 5 favorite games, but this doesn't even come close. I really wanted to enjoy it, but this game barely has anything in common with the first. I wished they hadn't changed the mechanics, and the entire theme of the game. For now I really don't think great of this game, but I will trying the game. Hopefully it...

The Prometheus Ridley Scott didn't give us. The game is an excellent (contained) sci-fi story, and the expansion (being a prequel/sequel ) of the lore of the series is amazing. More focus on melee combat than the first game. At the beginning Indra, the main character, suffers with basic gear, but as you progress, she envolves into something that masters the map and its enemies. Speaking of it, you get a more...

I can't really recommend it based on the fact that 1 was so good and got me to play this one and left me sorely disappointed. I did not feel as if the story gripped me like 1 did. also there are several instances of bug where certain pickups are not counted toward completion and it left me with 99% completion despite me combing over the area completely where the in game map said I was missing an item. I still...

It’s an okay game with an abrupt end that feels unfinished. The controls were a bit wonky at times and the enemies are some of the most annoying obstacles you could hope to encounter. If you like metroidvanias, grab it on sale but keep your expectations low.
