Very dark lightning. Clunky controls and interaction with objects. A lot of clutter on shelfs, desks and later the floor. There is no good way to sort items. Some puzzles are a bit too obscure. Bugs in which crucial objects fall through tables and cannot be retrieved anymore. A bit too short.

The only "experiment" going on in this game is to see whether or not you can escape the refund timer. This is almost identical to a DLC from this developeres previous game. The puzzles were so basic as to not be puzzles and myself and my friend were constantly overestimating the complexity needed to solve each step. There is no story and no mystery except how this game can be sold on steam.

I, and my best friend, have thoroughly enjoyed Onskull escape room games thus far and would normally recommend them to any puzzle enthusiasts, but I cannot recommend The Experiment in its current version if you play with a partner. I've been in many real life escape rooms in the past couple of years and I can say this game felt like a genuine escape room experience that can be played on pc. You can either play the game as single player and take your time with more difficult puzzles or play with friends and enjoy it as you would normally do in an escape room. Buggy mess. Was trying to play without VR but its almost impossible. Items that you pick up disappear in to walls and aren't centered in the screen when you pick them up meaning they are almost impossible to inspect closely. Menus are only half visible meaning that the controls cannot be viewed fully.

Pretty upset that the game is so glitchy- objects tend to fly around towards the end and I have to constantly reset them. Also it crashes, extremely frustrating when I've only got 2 puzzles left and there's no save game so I have to start all over. Don't recommend at all.
