I never played the original version. But if this improves over it in any way? It did one hell of a job, I know the anime girl wasn't in the NES game, but it still seems like it stuck to the premise and went above and beyond for a remake to a very simple game. Fun tank exploring gameplay and a mix of satisfying on foot shooting gameplay makes this game a very memorable and fun experience, sometimes frustrating.

The mix of 2D tank platforming and top-down dungeons on foot is a really cool combination of gameplay, it breaks up the game to keep it from getting too repetitive. Music and aesthetics are great, and the story is decent enough that it keeps me interested. Jason really did all this to find a frog he barely even knows. #respect I'm not used to Metroidvanias so traversal is a little slow to me. Keeping the max gun...

ok i have just killed the lvl 7 area boss i can say my last revew was wrong im so glad i am. its hard yes. but the crushing difficulty i stated not so much it does get hard but if you try and just push through its a great remake. i can only imagion the mess the whole game was on nes i couldent vever get past lvl 2 too hard to fand ♥♥♥♥. this is much better
