When a developer shows up with another collectible card game at this day and age, you really need to bring something new to the table. Something that makes us wonder why MTG or Hearthstone didn't think of this before. And this is where MagicQuest stumbles. First impressions, It is okay. The cards look pretty nice and the sound effects are passable. Only played for 4 hours so I dont have a very deep understanding of the game yet. Pretty simple gameplay with 4 card slots, accumulating mana each turn and a rotationg choice of 5 cards from your deck to play. I would say it is very luck based and very dependant on high stats cards, which for me became apparent at around...

Why do we play games?... To have fun, pass time, get a little kick of dopamine when we defeat the final boss. This along with most games in this era of gaming are nothing more than a cash grab. Difficulty spikes right after the first few levels to force you to spend your money because the developers were to lazy and unimaginative to create a fun and engaging experience. So my question is not " Why do we play games? "...
