Quite polished retro-styled shoot 'em up. Disclaimer: Developer gave me a free key for review purposes. A simple shoot 'em up, in Space Climber you go about a small level and shoot the constantly spawning monsters in hopes of diamonds. Reaching 20 diamonds finishes the level. Since I downloaded the demo of this game I knew that it had to be in my collection. Absolutely recommended. It has an MS-DOS game aesthetic. The graphic aspect is the weakest, but the gameplay is colossal, and the control is very precise with both the keyboard and the controller. A fun arcade romp somewhat stymied by a weird control-scheme and some design decisions related to the mechanics, but not enough to ruin the game.
