But now, it’s time to go even further. Drifters Loot the Galaxy is heading to Early Access on April 15th with 24/7 server uptime so you can get your fix of high-flying, Driftpac-fueled action whenever you want. This is a massive step for us, and it’s one that we haven’t considered lightly. We’re more excited than ever about the future of Drifters and can’t wait to invite even more players into our world. So, what all does this mean? Well for starters, we’ll be expanding access to the game worldwide for technical testing. Previously, our Open Beta and prototyping periods were only made available to the United States and Canada while we were focused on initial optimization. We’re looking forward to getting feedback from an expanded audience during this next major phase of our development. To prepare for this wider release, you’ll find that the remainder of the upcoming scheduled play sessions prior to our Early Access launch will be framed more as technical tests. Starting with our next session on March 26th, we’ll be aiming to keep servers up for a longer period of time than previous sessions. For example, our March 26th session will see servers up and available from noon to midnight Pacific time. This will enable us to gather some new data on how our servers are holding up, both in terms of the extended period and wider regional availability. To ensure you find a match during this longer session time, make sure to hop in during one of our specific play session windows: 3pm – 4pm and 6pm – 7pm Pacific! You can find more info in our March 26 play session details post. Finally, we’d like to share some specifics on how we’re handling your current accounts, unlocks, and cosmetics. The accounts you’ve made during Open Beta and our prototyping will be the exact same accounts you’ll use to log in to Drifters Loot the Galaxy after its launch into Early Access. Using the same accounts is what will enable us to carry over any real-money purchases, including Zenith currency and the Founder’s Pack. In addition to this, any unlocks purchased with Zenith will be refunded as Zenith to be re-spent however you please. Furthermore, Credits and any unlocks purchased with Credits will be wiped and reset with this transfer. We’ve got lots in store for the future of Drifters, from Early Access to beyond.
