2026-09-10Hi everyone, it's been a while! Today we are releasing a patch for Trails to Azure which brings feature parity with the new releases on PS5 and Switch 2. Obviously, the PC version was already quite feature-rich, but there are two new settings worth mentioning. Texture Style The first one is called "Texture Style", and implements something that was requested -- not quite frequently, but a few times. In short, this setting allows switching between the modernised textures used in the PC version so far ("Modern"), and the original textures the initial release of the game shipped with ("Classic"). The second new setting allows you to select between two color spaces for the game: sRGB and bt.709. Different versions of the game on different prior platforms were presented in either of these, so it's hard to say which one is more "correct", but the former is brighter and with slightly less contrast compared to the latter. As such, we decided to offer both options. Choose whichever one you prefer (sRGB is the first). Other Changes • Fix various text and localization issues. • Be more resilient and/or informative in a few specific crash scenarios on some types of hardware. • Fix a possible texture reloading bug when switching between languages. • Avoid polling disconnected controller slots every frame.
