Bugfix • The plant on first floor had a graphical glitch before meeting the little girl for the first time, this was fixed • Sometimes portraits weren't removed properly, this was fixed. • Stamina bar wasn't removed from Coward ending, this was fixed.

I don't want to give it a thumbs down because it's not a horrible game but....it's not good either. The idea behind the story is good and, as far as I can tell, the game mechanics work. On the other hand, being chased feels more irritating than scary, the music often doesn't feel like it fits the atmosphere, and the way the story is told is choppy and disjointed. Like I was able to get an idea of what was going on...

Overall a solid game. I won't comment too much on the plot as I want to avoid spoilers with this review, but I will say it felt rather basic as far as horror games go. That being said, it was still fun to play through the game to figure out just what was going on. The ending felt a bit rushed to explain everything, but it was still enjoyable. There was only one part that frustrated me, that being the mirror maze...

Survive or die trying. Overall pretty neat and a rather refreshing experience for the RPGM horror scene. Scarred Stars definitely deserves more attention.

It's not a bad game, but it's not that great, either. Some of the themes feel really disjointed and are more of a head-scratcher as to why they were included. There are a fair bit of typos, and some mechanics are a bit off as well. Also, using the mouse to click on the game to move your character causes the game to crash. It's a good attempt at horror from a dev who traditionally does NSFW titles, but it fell...
