I always read reviews before considering a purchase. We could argue back and forth all day as to whether that is a good approach to purchasing games or not. Dice Tribes: Ambitions is a small game with all the ambition (heh, heh) of a big game. Surprise pothole (small, but surprisingly deep) It's full of neat little surprises, and has an ascension-style game mode that covers the bases for people who want to play it for much longer.

What a lovely gem of a game! Played it's various scenarios and was very engaged and entertained by the author's inventiveness. It's a boardgame-like worker-placement game, it has various scenarios and ever expanding game-mechanics or objects that keep the gameplay fresh and fun. Works on linux natively without any fuss or problems.
