I've played and finished some jank souls-like; I even hold esteem for some (like Shattered TotFK) despite not being very good. But I gave up on Estencel after some hours, uninstalled and moved it to a "Maybe Later" category on my library in case a future patch fixes some of the issues I have with it. Combat-wise, the more I engaged with it the more I felt not in control. I don't know if it's a skill issue, the game...

its not for me. i dont understand the sense of progression here. you start off in a city, okay thats not bad but... where do i go? the place is big, i mean really big with a lot of pathways and enemies hit hard, plus the lighting makes it very hard to see. i am also not sure how damage works? i have weapons and outfits but they dont give any attributes? only the level up does? i like the games design it looks...
