My first experience with the SGS system. I like the system and will buy another game using it. For this battle though it's fairly boring. As the Japanese there's not much to do while you get pounded by the overwhelming force of the U.S. You may win but it doesn't feel like you did anything but the obvious. As the U.S. you also don't get much feel for the actual campaign. Not much strategy involved, you just move...

Incredibly challenging to win via points, true sick feeling in my stomach when I have to send Marines and GIs into a giant bunker. A few glitches, but the game quick saves often so I've rarely had anything other than annoyance with it.

Takes a little bit to get used to the orders process but it is very similar to board game mechanics. Game turns go pretty fast, don't expect pretty graphics of explosions etc., and it has a card mechanic which seems to be the rage in wargaming right now (which I'm not a huge fan of but it's not a deal breaker). The AI is good, the tutorial is good,
