okay.. I think the devs heart is in the right place... but... This game/lecture, from the word go, throws words at you quite nonstop, seemingly just kinda expecting you to remember them. Knowing a decent bit of Japanese already, I have no problem with this, other than being bored out of my mind, but I imagine that this will not attach itself to a beginner in any way. The structure seems to be lecture, quiz,...

The name is quite misleading. It should be called "Hiragana with examples". You go through each character in hiragana, you get a word which uses it, then you answer a question with three possible answers. Imagine my surprise when I finished the whole thing after just 4 hours. Unfortunately it's too late to refund. You can find this kind of contents for free anywhere!
