This game had a lot of potential to be a favorite as I love picross and I love the Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons series but the pixel art was pretty terrible. There was also stuttering in the background when viewing the farm and a lot of missed opportunities for including more than the handful of music tracks that they played. I would recommend this game if you like playing picross but prepare to be disappointed...

If you like Picross puzzles, this one works well enough and as such is enjoyable. The images you're making are meh. The Story of Seasons theming is cute, but isn't particularly good. Still, I'm a big fan of Picross puzzles so have been enjoying playing this. If you're looking for something that game-ifies picross puzzles this isn't it. The marking feature is indispensable in Picross. Once the puzzles get highly complex, playing without a marking tool completely ruins the gaming experience. Hopefully future updates will add a proper dedicated marking function, instead of just the basic X marker currently available. Also, this game is horribly optimized. Can you believe it? Dreadful performance on my laptop. Everything was choppy and I often missed movements due to lag. Did such a simple type of game really need all the 3D graphics? It's a shame coming from the excellent Piczel Adventure. That one had wonderful pixel art and moved as smooth as butter. I'm also not a fan of the change in art style.
