Asking 20 dollars for this game is near criminal. It's a very fun game. I adore it. But don't buy it for that price. Just as a reminder, there has been 0 dollars spent on preservation. By default, the game runs on DOXBox, which they had no hand in. I personally recommend using the D2X-Xl or Descent2Rebirth(0.58.1) source ports, which they also didn't do anything to improve. This should not be £20 and I'm pretty sure it didn't used to be when I bought it. I always loved this game but that is silly when no updates have been included here and it's a 30 year old game running in Dosbox.

To me Descent 1 is a sci fi ambush horror shooter. Descent 2 cranks up the pace. Levels are larger, more complex, and packed with tricks. The game shifts into a fast-paced action shooter, with twice as many weapons, most of them either fun or genuinely useful.
