Holiday Update: Icon Creator + More

2014-11-26

A new release of 3,000 more asset files has arrived. This update includes the much asked for "Icon Creator" assets. Create your own icon's and button's. Also included is a Tank Builder pack that works like the space ship builder pack. You use pieces to create your own tanks. There are also some other minor additions to existing packs like gems and some hud elements. *Lookout for a sale this holiday if you are new to IGB. The work continue's on as we make more assets for those that support our project :) Thanks!

I am just reviewing all the files in the bundle and I have to say I am a bit disappointed. There is certainly well made, usable stuff in there. But on the other hand, there is also a lot of clutter. Worst example are the gems, its 13 gems with most having 120 individual files that only differ in angle. Unless you really really (really really really ...) need a glowing, rotating gem, thats 1400+ junk files right...

It's ok. But everything is just so haphazard. For example: -Some graphics have layered PSD versions, some don't. -Some graphics look painstakingly illustrated, while others look crude and slapdash. -Some animation sequences are poorly named, causing most programs to display them in the wrong order when importing. -The folder structure is all over the place. Want some rocky ground? No problem, just go to \jungle...

The idea of making a bundle of graphics for amateur game developers is all right, but the pricing is way to high. a fair price for this bundle would be 20-30 euros in my opinion.
