Version 1.1.0
2026-08-31Mechanic changes: • A single tile can now contain both a toggle switch and either a pressure plate or sacrifice altar, wired to separate mechanisms. See editor notes below. • Fixed a bug that could cause objects carried by a bomb bug to end up inside a closed toggle door in a very specific situation: The bomb bug is on top of a toggle door on top of a sacrifice altar on top of a pit or water; the sacrifice altar is wired to the door supporting the bomb bug; the door is opened by another mechanism in the room and the bomb bug dies. Bugfix: • Fixed incorrect display of game end screen after having stepped on a goal star in single room mode, potentially resulting in a crash. • Fixed invalid characters being printed on game end screen when displaying a room name too long to fit.

• Fixed scrollbar position for world description not being reset when viewing different worlds on Select World screen. • Fixed an edge case where a sliding room transition animation could be incorrectly played when clicking a room on the map. • Fixed an edge case where room marks would sometimes not be displayed when previewing the current room. Interface: • Unvisited adjacent rooms on the world map now show which direction(s) they can be seen from. • Added an option to sort worlds by date. • Inspecting a monster now shows more detail about the monster's current state (facing, active/primed, etc). • Horizontal waypoint menu arrows for rooms with multiple active waypoints are now placed inside the room thumbnail, fixing text overlap. • Tracked time spent in a room no longer advances while viewing or inputting a replay. • When inputting a replay, the total length of time it would take to watch the replay in real time is added to the current tracked time spent in the room. • The world map can now be opened while viewing room initial state. • Stacked entities shown during mark editing are now sorted by elevation. • Fixed improper cursor placement when typing spaces at the end of a line of text. • While holding the mouse button to inspect tiles, moving the cursor outside game bounds no longer requires an additional mouse button press to continue inspecting after moving the cursor back into bounds. • After importing a newer version of an existing world, the scroll position of the world list is now adjusted to ensure that the newly-imported world is visible. • The room notes text field no longer resets its scroll position when reopening the same room's notes after scrolling. • Menus showing a vertical list of items no longer wrap around at the bottom or top during key repeats, now requiring a new keypress to wrap. • When using a gamepad, the pause button can no longer be used to close menus that involve text input (other than Marks and Notes), fixing a potential data loss issue by requiring an active choice of whether to accept or cancel changes. • The game end screen's room list graph now defaults to showing the current room instead of the first room. • Fixed incorrect text truncation on restore/replay menu, previously resulting in replay names either slightly spilling out of the right side of the list, or being truncated too early. Graphical: • Mouseover highlights for mechanisms and monsters now match the shape of the objects being highlighted. • Entities dropped from Leaf's head during same-room waypoint travel now animate falling instead of instantly teleporting downward. • Adjusted appearance of poison trail on tall grass, cattails, and curtains. • Fixed incorrect layering of flying snake on top of poison trail on top of tall grass, cattails, or curtains. • Fixed incorrect layering when flowers are south of hot coals. Audio: • The win game sound now only plays once per room visit if the goal star is stepped on multiple times. • Fixed an audio bug that caused bomb bugs to sound like they were reorienting every turn under very specific circumstances (bomb bug has reoriented on prior turn, and is now primed and pacified). Editor: • Lifted restrictions on pressure plate/sacrifice altar sharing a tile with a toggle switch. Both can now exist in the same position (including stacks) and be wired separately. Note that worlds using this mechanic will not function correctly in game versions prior to 1.1.0. • Cmd/Ctrl+D can now be used to duplicate the selection. • Statues now appear sunken when placed in water. macOS: • Leaf's Odyssey now runs natively on Apple Silicon processors. • Audio output device changes are now handled gracefully without requiring an application restart. • Enabled vsync for better framerate consistency.
