This is a nonsensical game that doesn't serve any purpose whatsoever. This is like a "mini game" but your only functional operation is to choose to use a stick against yourself or your opponent. What does it do? I don't even care. I assume you can't make it to the end and just compete for a high score, but what is the game actually about?
