Patch Notes 20.05.25
2025-05-20Key Fixes & Improvements: Smoother UI Interactions: • The Pause Menu (ESC) now correctly takes precedence. If your Journal or Solar System Map view is open, opening the Pause Menu will now seamlessly close these other views first. • Similarly, the Journal ('J') will no longer open if the Pause Menu or the Solar System Map View ('TAB') is already active, preventing UI clashes. • The Solar System Map View ('TAB') will now automatically close an open Journal before activating, ensuring a clear view. • Fixed an issue where the Pause Menu could shrink to a tiny size when opened. This was related to game pausing (Time.timeScale) affecting UI animators; relevant animators have been updated to use unscaled time.

• The mouse cursor will now correctly hide when the Solar System Map View ('TAB') is active. It will also consistently become visible when UI panels like the "Update Info" screen are closed, ensuring you can always interact with underlying menus. Player Control Consistency: • Resolved a bizarre bug where player movement could remain locked every other time after opening and closing the Solar System Map View. Player movement lock state is now managed more consistently across all UI interactions (Journal, Map View, Pause Menu). • When teleporting to a bookmarked system via the Journal, the player will now have its movement speed set to zero upon arrival for safer and more predictable fast travel. Journal Enhancements: • The Journal ('J') will now correctly display only bookmarked solar systems that belong to your current galaxy seed. No more seeing old bookmarks from previous voyages in your current log! • Fixed issues with the Journal's scrollable list where buttons might overlap or not display correctly. The layout should now be much more reliable. Bookmark Feature Refinements: • The key to bookmark a system is now 'B' (previously 'U'). • When a system is bookmarked (or if it's already bookmarked), a confirmation message (" BOOKMARKED" or " ALREADY BOOKMARKED") will now briefly appear on screen for 5 seconds. As always, thank you for your feedback and happy exploring!
