I have strongly mixed feelings about The Silence. It's hard for me to place it, but I will share my thoughts. First of all, the map is designed really well in many ways. I found that it forces you to be creative, it's not easy to remember any paths, yet there's many recognizable places as you become more familiar with the map. The level design and atmosphere were good! The controls worked good as well. But, the AI of the monster was very... absent? I spent almost an hour running around looking for bears and only encountered the monster once. Also the FOV with the jerky flashlight made me feel motion sick, but that might just be a me thing..

I played this game in it's BETA form, and when I tell you EVERYTHING changed! It become so much more realistic, it has nice sound effects, custom monster and it isn't a game you will regret. I love it and I am looking forward to more games!

I enjoyed the feel of "The Silence," but it needs considerable refinement to become a complete game, and even then, it would still be quite short. The most disappointing aspect was the monster. I regret not having my recording software running, but I did see a brief clip of it sliding down a hallway at high speed. I'm not sure if it has animation, and there seems to be no means of avoidance other than blind luck....
