Bitmap2Material price drop and news

Hi everyone, last week we reduced the price of Bitmap2Material from $99.99 to $49.99 and the Pro version from $149.99 to 74.99$. Bitmap2Material, after 6 years of loyal service, is reaching its end of life and will not receive any further update. As you may be aware, Substance Alchemist, available through the Substance subscription, now includes a similar version of Bitmap2Material and will add a new AI powered Image to Material feature in its next update. This new feature, like Bitmap2Material, allows you to generate a full material from a single image but rather than using simple image processing, the AI can recognize shapes and objects in the image and generate a normal map and other channels from it. The quality generated by this new tools is incredible and miles better than Bitmap2Material can ever hope to produce, so this is where our efforts will be focused from now on.

This is what I've been waiting for. I've got a largish library of materials for a game project I'm working on that need to be updated to the new shading model for UE4. I authored a lot of my environmental tiling textures in the original Bitmap2Material and using this new build I'm able to move my texture library to PBR a lot easier than doing it by hand, which is a major feature because I don't have an army of...

Quick and dirty of it. Adobe bought Allgerethmic. Stand alone is gone off their web sight now. As far as I know Steam is the only place to still get stand alone. Why this matters? Subscriptions SUCK and don't work at all for low use, hobby types, students, folks just growing their skills on their time. Like heck NO am I shelling out like 400 bucks a month for the various programs I use on subscriptions. Ya...

This software is very good for those who like their indie games to look alittle more proffesional without any struggle. This is a very easy to use software and has helped me with my small groups game we are developing. We use the Unity3D engine which this software works super smooth with. I've heard just the same thing about the CryEngine aswell! I strongly recomends this product to those who are making indie games!
