I don't know what's the deal with this game but appears that some people love it while some hate it. For me it's not that great. Plenty of different jets to choose from. Equipment highly customizable. Visuals pixelated but sprites are good. One of the best flight sims of it's era. I played so many hours in this one back in the 1990s, and can remember Operation El Dorado Canyon as being my favorite one, and there are so many campaigns available to play. The WW3 scenarios in North Cape and the Mediterranean are so good. Plus the F-14 Tomcat is just one of the best jets of its era.
