Bearslayer is a fast-paced one button platformer arcade game about Latvian epic tale hero “Lāčplēsis”. To complete the levels of the game you will have to be quick, precise and think fast. No matter how fast you are, you will die A LOT.

Today we launched the Linux version of the Bearslayer. This version is available for Ubuntu and SteamOS and uses OpenGL renderer. This is a huge milestone for us, because we are using our own game engine – the Ouzel engine (https://github.com/elnormous/ouzel) and it hasn't been tested on Linux before. Now all the platforms on Steam are supported and we hope that it will run without problems on all of them.

Fast-paced one button platformer. Nice sounds and music, beautiful hand-drawn game! Really hard as devs say "you will die a LOT". RAGE QUIT guaranteed! This game is beautiful. I spent 17 minutes admiring the amazing graphics and beautiful music, with different levels everytime. Really gets you going and helps relieve stress.

Absolutely love this game. A lot of the puzzles feel quite hard, but the more you play it the better you get, and when you solve a particularly hard puzzle you really do feel like you've accomplished something. Sound track is amazing and the visuals are just fantastic. Would definitelty reccomend to others.

This is a fast paced relentless platformer. Test your skills and your nerves. It may only take "ONE BUTTON", but don't let that fool you. Although still in beta, I played a little over an hour so far and found it very satisfying. Music is very pleasing to listen to while playing and a strum of a guitar plays when you die. I had no problems playing it and will certainly play it more. Good edition to add to the game...
