It was a good game. Reminds me of Smash TV with same controls.
Only problems I had were:
* Too much stuff on the screen, so you miss things coming at your character.
* Spawning sometimes at not where I die.
* When my mrs died she had to wait until I died to come back which wasn't fun for her.

Got to 2nd area in coop, stopped taking input from controller and keyboard, had to alt+f4. Don't waste your time.
Also it's one of these games that doesn't recognize controllers if they're turned on after the game launches, so remote play together doesn't work, if you decide to waste your time on this and want to do so in online coop, you'll have to use Parsec.

I played this game when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like simple yet fun arcade shooter games, definitely give this a try! It has cool levels, fun weapons, interesting enemy designs, beautiful music and great bosses. And if you've got a buddy over at your house, it's a ton of fun playing together! Also plenty of achievements and challenges to complete.
