Lifeline is essentially a story that unfolds in real-time. It's all diaglog based, with Taylor (the main character) describing what he is seeing and doing, and you can offer advice to tell him what to do next. So there are times where he'll need to 'travel" from point A to point B. So nothing will happen for an hour. You are literally expected to shut off the game for that time.
