House of Velez is a horror game based around stealth/puzzle elements. It emphasizes sneaking, running and hiding mechanics to surpass obstacles rather than combat. This game draws inspiration from titles like Haunting Ground and even film such as the 1980's Hellraiser.

It is odd for me to recommend this game... First thing I want to say : it is NOT for everyone. The game is VERY dark, violent, gory, and it is even worse if you are an adult who can understand the psychological perspective out of it. An indifferent (slightly negative-leaning) opinion regarding Part 1 of House of Velez. Absolute masterpiece for fans of highly intense, deeply disturbing, and extremely gore fest type of horror. Simply excellent with old school style of side scrolling fun.
