Again, same as the first game: why are levels relevant when a lev. 4 Gladiator or Lev. 4 Bear will kill your level 12 Gladiator? Why do we train Gladiators if lower level enemies with one 6 AP item will defeat your gladiator diligently trained and with good equipment? This simple arena reminded me of the good old days of computer clubs. The game captured the pleasant atmosphere of those classic titles.

Age of Gladiators II: Rome is a single-player strategy/management sim set at the height of the bloody gladiatorial games in ancient Rome. As your fighters increase in level, it will be up to you to decide how to forge their attributes and abilities. Build your story. Build your empire.

I really enjoyed the game the battles, while turnbased, are highly tactical every move counts, and you can upgrade the fighters unique abilities. A minor downside is that the interface feels overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, you really find yourself rooting for your team in the arena. Its perfect for strategy fans.
