A short horror game that pretends to have some action in it, but really falls short with the horror part and feels quite dumb as a shooter. Didn't liked it. First of all, there is no mouse sensitivity option, and all the decals and backgrounds are way too dark. Venal Soul (Chapter One) is a very nice, but very short fps horror game. It is more a walking simulator with some shooting mechanics in it than adventure game, it has nearly no puzzles. But i like the horror effects, they are very good and scary. Game basically consist of two levels, the first one orients mostly around exploring the level and experiencing a series of horror elements while getting the basic story of the game. The second level introduces some minor combat elements that don't really significantly contribute to the game while continuing the point and click style level exploration.
