You have been taken prisoner and sold to a deep space testing facility. Upon arrival, you are fitted with a device forcing you to participate in their experiment. Released into a massive complex, the dark halls wind around testing rooms and conceal pieces to puzzles. There is no option but to comply.

After Our Secret Below, I wanted to take the time between launch and Halloween to push and get a fun little game out in time. KOHATE I decided The Subject was a great setting to be able to expand upon and built a new experience around the Kohat complex location from the game. Kohate is a, small, stand alone project with a single goal of having a fun time in a single sitting. • Stealth horror • Multiple endings • secrets to discover • Casual mode (no monster) • Designed to be played in one sitting Kohate a fun and easy way to support my larger projects. The Subject is an incredibly obtuse game. I'm under the impression that the game is broken and, when asking for assistance, I was dismissed by the developer with the excuse that they'd seen two other people complete the game successfully, so there's definitely nothing wrong - despite another person chiming in with the same issue and ultimately solving it for both of us. *Sigh* (Edit: this thread has now been deleted...

Playing The Subject is an intense, fun, and challenging experience. From the tutorial to the end game you have to think about the way to solve ever changing puzzles and discover useful patterns. Some of these puzzles do take time to understand and figure out. The key is to not get frustrated, and keep track of your health/battery life. The Subject starts out promising but you'll quickly realize how annoying the game play will be, as the majority of "puzzles" are buttons and switches that may do something, somewhere. It's all guess and check work. There are 4 rooms that have some real puzzles, but these are the tedious, brute force solving kind. Getting to all these rooms, buttons, and switches is a huge pain since you have to navigate a 4 section...
