In A Nutshell Kogent Defender is a simple top-down shooter, set in the middle of a war fought between the Krogent, your faction, and the Virtera, dangerous aliens. The storyline is very minimal, simply stating you are one of the Krogent warriors and tasked with various missions by the Krogent Mind in order to defeat the enemy. This is a fun little shooter. It's not an RPG, so there isn't a huge story. There is however a narrative to hold the levels together. The minimalist style is attractive, and the gameplay, while short, is quite fun. Shoot the bad guys. Find the exit. Several different types of missions are available, so there is easily several hours of gameplay. Some randomness to encourage reply would be nice. Give it a try
