Space Maze

Got this game for cheap, and it was really a good surprise. Here's a +/-: Pros: • Very solid rogue-like gameplay mechanics with bet system and unlockables (drones and new environments) • Mazes are randomly generated, higher levels generate more complex maps. So in absolute, infinite gameplay • Controls are precise and comfortable (mouse and WASD). Four unlockable drones with different velocity / rotation...

The game is enjoyable, overall it has really good traps, controls and sound, but the biggest problem is that mazes start to get too big and you get lost easily. You dont even know where exactly have you already been, and also the exploding traps sometimes dont do any damage to you when another time they take almost half of your health down.

I got this in a bundle, effectively paying less than $0.50 for this game ... and at that price, I'll give it a hesitant positive review. The developer clearly states this is their first game, and with that in mind it's not terrible. But, also not super fun - it lacks that certain oompf that makes me want to keep playing it. In half an hour of play time, I've amassed $30 million dollars ... bought all the drones ......
