An attractive and intriguing, yet wholly unoriginal, stealth survival game. The experience is cratered by a terrible combat mechanism that is all too frequent due to the odd -- possibly buggy -- stealth system. The puzzles are decent, and save points are generous, but this game quickly became a chore.

It's a little like the old-school Resident Evil episodes, but in 2D and without any fighting. A big manor filled with strange mechanisms, locked rooms, documents and a creepy atmosphere. And at the same time an unstoppable enemy is trying to kill you for most of the adventure. There is indeed a story, perhaps not extraordinary, but it fulfills its purpose. After the 1st puzzle I had to use a guide for the remainder of the game. Nearly all of the puzzle solutions made me go “how on earth was I supposed to figure that out??”. Narrative felt kind of thrown together without a lot of thought as well. No real background for any of the characters, and no resolution for any of the side characters. The “good” ending just sees the MC and his sister chat and then you’re told...
