Photonflowers is a collection of different small stories as well as a prologue to Muv-Luv Extra With the Extra stories, we have a prequel story for each main female characters, I found them all entertaining and worthwhile(Ayamine was my favourite), but especially the sequel story serving as a prologue to Extra was really enjoyable to me. Now going to the Alternative stories... it's a mixed bag honestly some of them...

a few of the alternative sidestories are nothingburgers but they're also super short. I enjoyed the rest quite a bit so i'd recommend reading this after finishing alternative

A fair good side story collection all things considered but it is lighter on content when compared to Photonflowers. Still, the side stories that are here are fairly nice, with special shoutouts to Atonement and Confessions, my personal favorites of the pack. In addition, the Sumika epilogue, Before the Cherry Blossoms Bloom, is a lovely end cap to the world of Extra and a must see for anyone who likes that side of...
