Man, I... I don't know. I would say I would give a mixed rating if it was possible, but I don't think I would, because that's not really accurate to how I feel about it. It's complicated. The gameplay is addictive, glimmering techniques is incredibly satisfying and the combat balances difficulty and creativity incredibly well. Party building creates so much freedom. The world is vast with tons of loot to obtain, characters to recruit, dungeons to raid and secrets to be uncovered. It's a SaGa game through and through. just had the whole world blown up by the final boss pretty mixed feelings so far it doesn't have unavoidable non-boss encounters and is non-linear in progression the first few hours were by far the worst. the random mobs are manageable if not easy, because they scale with your power, but then you encounter a single brick wall boss and have to back-track through the whole area. a lot of time i was just aimlessly...

What a game. I really liked how the game rewarded exploration. Almost every dungeon tends to have something that's better than what you currently use or tends to have some utility. The final boss is an absolute bastard. You can't leave the final dungeon, and some categories of spells are a necessity, or you basically softlock yourself. Great game overall.
