Super Crate Box inspired WarpThrough and it shows. Instead of crates you’re collecting portals that fuel research. The research unlocks future levels. The arenas are basic and the screen wrapping can be frustrating. But, that's part of the game! You need to strike a balance between collecting portals and cleaning up the enemies. A rather fun platformer that does a great job of introducing and adjusting it's own mechanics. I found it a bit challenging in places to earn the target story-mode warp counts (the ability of Three took a while to understand) - but the animations are tight, the difficulty is well balanced, and the dialogues are super charming - the dog that barks narrative is adorable! You can only shoot the direction you press to move. No standing still & shooting. avoid or kill googelys and jump in warps to build score and progress through the game. sounds complicated. fun though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUDYLTK-408
