I usually prefer Armored Core-style games but this is a pretty good and fun Mechwarrior-like, it's a shame that development ended but hey, it's free

I spent about a week trying to get MW2 Mercenaries running on my steam deck and eventually got it running pretty well and without a ton of bugs. I have played probably 30 to 40 hours of the original MW2 Mercs on DosBox. I really wish I had known about this project instead, I could have saved a lot of time messing around. This game does everything the original MW2 Mercs does and it is fantastic! Runs like a dream on...

Mech Merc Company is the kind of game that immediately appealed to me because it feels like a forgotten nineties mech simulator that somehow ended up on Steam for free. The main idea is that I run my own mercenary company while also getting into the cockpit and fighting in massive combat mechs. Needs more updates for sure before it can “be a mechwarrior killer game” but its very good and getting closer slowly i do also have a couple suggestions as well
