Unfortunately I can not recommend this game. For language learning, this is a bad approach since the implementation of this game is just your bog-standard visual novel engine which doesn't offer more interaction than clicking to get the next line of dialog and choosing an option from a list of choices. This is a good way to review and brush up on your Japanese skills. If you are just starting out, you have not learn anything about Japanese, it would be good to learn about Hiragana and Katakana. The game will mention some small facts about the Japanese alphabet that you would not know right off the bat. I made a goal to find a treasure and then save the game. It's a long road in between save points. That is just me....
