The Troop: A Great War Ruined I love the mechanics and idea of this game. I detest the execution. Someone below wrote a review that sums my feelings up perfectly. I want to like this game. I start it thinking I'm going to have fun. I end up basically rage-quitting and wanting to write this review. Then I think I'm being harsh. I just wanted to write and say what a great game this is. I am 63 and my wargaming predates the pc. Squad leader was the board game for tactical WW2 when I was in high school. As a former US Army Armor officer and tank platoon leader who appreciates a good tank game, The Troop is simply outstanding. The graphics are top notch and the technical ballistic aspects of shot striking steel realistically account for gun caliber and armor penetration.
