The Darkest Dungeon comparisons are very appropriate. This game shamelessly steals most parts of DD and fits them right into my ol timey circus wheelhouse. I love the art style and the voice acting. I like that you do one fight, go back to your circus, regroup and go back out. Its much less stressful than dungeon crawling with no end in sight. Easy recommendation at full price if you like these type of games.

It is one of those Darkest Dungeon look-a-like games but with a Bioshock-ish/WeHappyFew-ish steampunk coat of paint, which looks very impressive and I considered the artworks alone worth the price. The first 4 out of six districts are good, however the balance of resources and lack of any grind to get more in the early middle game can create locks on progress. The difficulty scaling also takes a very sharp turn upward towards the absurd, the punishment for simple ignorance is far to high. One of these days, Steam *really* needs to add a "mixed" rating. I wavered back and forth a lot on this one, thought it was going to be a narrow upvote most of the way through, and then the ending gave me a sufficiently sour note to turn the other way.
