First of all, we sincerely thank all of you who have played Private Military Manager, even though the game is still incomplete. We’ve received a lot of support during this time, and we fully understand that those of you who took the time to provide thoughtful feedback did so because you wished for the game to improve. As someone who has been involved in the development of this game for nearly three years, I’ve always been grateful for your encouragement and feedback. However, after much internal discussion about the feasibility of continued development, we have made the difficult decision to halt updates and adjust the pricing and refund policy accordingly. Since launching Private Military Manager as an Early Access title on April 28, 2025, the commercial performance of the game has fallen significantly short of expectations. To be blunt, we found ourselves unable to sustain a development team of this size and continue meaningful updates. Downsizing the team and slowing down development was also deemed insufficient to meet player expectations. As a result, the team has been disbanded and all future updates permanently suspended. We also believe that releasing the game in Early Access came with the promise of eventual completion. Since we are now unable to fulfill that promise, we have determined that offering refunds is the most reasonable course of action. We acknowledge that this decision was not made lightly, and we apologize for not informing you sooner. Refund Schedule and Method to Be Announced We have reached an agreement with Steam to offer refunds regardless of when you purchased Private Military Manager or how much time you've spent playing it. Refunds will become available sometime in July, and we will issue a separate announcement with details on the exact timing. We will provide a clear and thorough guide to ensure that you can complete the refund process smoothly once it begins. Please note that refund requests will be processed in the order they are received. Price Adjustment Announcement Even if you've received a refund, you can still keep Private Military Manager by repurchasing it at an adjusted price after the refund is processed. We believe the challenges, experiments, and outcomes we wanted to present through Private Military Manager were meaningful. Therefore, although the game is incomplete and updates have ceased, players who wish to experience its unique gameplay can repurchase and own the game at a 70% discounted price of $5.99 once refunds become available. Closing Words Part of my life has gone into Private Military Manager, and I truly meant to share with you a new experience and a reimagining of the genre. That’s why I feel a deep regret in not being able to see it through to the end. Most of all, I am sorry for not keeping the promise we made to you.
