INTERSTELLAR PRIME Development Update: The Unity 6 Rebuild
2026-07-29THE REBUILD IS TAKING SHAPE Commanders, It has been far too long since our last proper transmission. Thank you to everyone who has continued to follow, play, discuss, and support INTERSTELLAR PRIME during the quiet period. Recently, we have been hard at work on the most ambitious overhaul in the game's history: a complete technical rebuild in Unity 6. This is not a simple patch. We are modernizing the foundation of INTERSTELLAR PRIME so its systems, performance, presentation, and future development can move forward on a much stronger core. THE LONG-AWAITED RTS MODE The RTS mode is a central focus of this rebuild. We are finishing the command experience and bringing it together with the ground combat, exploration, story, and space gameplay at the heart of the original vision. There is still testing and polish ahead, but the pieces are coming together.

WORK-IN-PROGRESS DEVELOPMENT FOOTAGE The screenshots below are from the current Unity 6 RTS development build. UI, visual effects, unit balance, performance, and content remain under active development and may change before release. A NEW EARLY ACCESS BUILD IS COMING Once the overhaul clears internal testing, the rebuilt version will go first to the players who supported us in Early Access — our early birds. You will be the first to experience it, help us identify issues, and shape the final stretch toward release. We will share the release timing, detailed changelog, accurate new screenshots, and a new trailer when the build is ready. THE ROAD TO 1.0 Our current target is to leave pre-alpha and Early Access behind and reach the full 1.0 release by the end of 2026, with the long-awaited RTS mode included. That is our target, not a fixed promise. Stability, testing, and the quality of the finished experience will determine the final date, and we will communicate clearly if the schedule changes. A FRESH START ON STEAM You may have already noticed the refreshed INTERSTELLAR PRIME Steam page. This is the beginning of a clearer and more consistent development push.
