This was back in the Hayday of the Tycoon series. Simple games meant for kids with simple resource management and easy to read and understand income and expenditure reports yet also with a more complex side that still can hold it to people who want a light game but not brain dead. The game comes with a story element in the campaign. And its science elements are fun for the causal player and the jr astronaut in you....

June 27, 2020: This was my first pc gaming experience, nearly 12 years ago. They updated literally nothing, even the graphics and resolution is the same. But it is still what I remember, and it is a joy (and frustration when a natural disaster wipes out your entire colony) to play. Never really played the campaign, but might soon. Overall, I think it is worth the buy if you want to relive old times. Edit October 5...

DOES NOT WORK ON WINDOWS 11 No matter the childhood nostalgia this game gives you; it simply is not worth your time relearning as games like surviving mars are no doubt so much more with it. Whenever I try to buy something; My mouth always goes over the direction arrow on the side of the screen and makes the map move when i'm simply trying to buy a building.
