Played this one before the days of Steam, back when the game was advertised on websites as a banner ad. A classic indie game that deserves a whole lot more attention and love than it got. Starts off a bit slow with a bit too much dialog I'll admit, but give it time and be patient, and after a while it becomes a really addictive and fast paced action/strategy game. Awesome game. Makes for a decent 4X style game. Can't really expand your ownings, but can research and ugprade equipment, explore the place, mine materials to improve your odds. Very very fun, got 21 hours into it and a year later I'm coming back to play some more!

I have seen this game ten years ago. I bought it about five years ago from a non-Steam service and promptly lost the ability to play it. I saw it up on a flash sale and promptly bought it. It is a testament to the game that it's imagery stayed prominent for so long with me. Either way, the game is SPAZ before SPAZ existed. Do not buy it expecting the same polish from a game with a decade of tech advancement...

This is actually a really fun game at first, when you are first upgrading and manipulating your ship. You can make missile boats, blaster-based ships, you get option drones to fire when you shoot, and so on. Mining is actually somewhat interesting to fool around with early on. I think this was my very first purchase on steam that wasn't immediately related to OG steam like counterstrike or something. Its a great old game and I usually don't play games like this. I like the grind on it for metals and equipment. I found this game looking for something like Armada on the Dreamcast and i'm happy I found this!

Starscape was one of the first games I had on PC way back in the day. It provided me hours upon hours of entertainment along with BG1, Traffic Department 2192, Doom, Wolfenstein, and a handful of other DOS games. I'm so happy it's on Steam.

A great top-down space shooter with a plot. Spiritually it would be a prequel to Space Pirates and Zombies. Graphics are exactly what they should be, art in the cutscenes is a little wonky. Wish it had even more plot and more choices. Game is a bit too big for how interesting it is. Interface is a tiny bit clumsy. A few things like some items aren't even capitalized. Weapons aren't sorted 1-4, it might go 3-1-2-4....

Steam doesn't register offline hours. I've been playing this game for 20 years. It remains one of my favorites.

First played this 19 years ago; decided to buy this for nostalgic sake. It's still fun; but gameplay is a bit repetitive and can not exactly a relaxing grind. Too bad the price is still somewhat pricey for a game that can be finish in like few hours.
